Dogs have been a big part of our society ever since ancient times. They’re man’s best friend – so it only makes sense that we welcome them into our homes like an extension of our families. And for all those who own dogs, they know that no two dogs are ever the same. They all have their own unique little quirks and personalities. And sometimes, they can even take on traits that are quite human-like. It’s almost like they become little mini versions of us!
And just like humans, dogs can experience massive fatigue. We’ve all had our days where we’re just so exhausted all we want to do is pass out on the couch for a nap. Our pets have those days too. And one dog owner caught his dog have one such day. The poor little pup, Apollo, was completely worn out after a very exciting day at his doggie day care. When he got home, all this pooch wanted was a nice, long nap.
And it just so happened that when he climbed up onto the sofa for a quick rest, he ended up falling asleep. It was a very deep sleep too! Apollo’s restful nap was so deep, he ended up rolling himself off the couch – without waking up!
This adorable pup didn’t even flinch when he hit the ground, he just kept on sleeping! While that is the kind of nap we all aspire for, the dog was actually fine. He was completely unscathed from his naptime fall. But he certainly gave his owner quite the scare!
Living with us in mega-cities or in small villages, on the sea, in the desert and even in space or on the North Pole, they march along, leaving 4 paw traces, our friends – dogs. They are glorified in legends since days ancient as being more faithful than people and remain close in perilous times. There are volumes of poems inspired by and devoted to them, monuments erected in their remembrance and the never-fading memories we cherish of growing up with our first dog.
In ancient times, dogs helped our ancestors hunt for mammoth and toothed tigers. Dog teams bare the credit naturalists, geologists and other adventure-seekers ventured into expeditions and conquest of the Arctic and Antarctic. In the world of today, many dogs live a comfortable couch life next to their beloved owners and we are grateful to them for the company.
People say that, over time, dogs start to resemble their owners, both in looks and in behavior. Whether it’s the animals that start imitating their humans or the humans start to identify themselves with their dogs, it doesn’t matter, there are hundreds of photos and videos online where dogs look and behave almost exactly like the dog owners!
When we have had a long day, all we want to do is crawl into bed and take a nice deep sleep. Well, our hero in the video at the top of the page may not be human but he behaves exactly like one! The exhausted dog named Apollo behaves exactly like that great uncle that falls into a deep coma on your couch after a hearty Thanksgiving meal. After his long day at daycare, he could barely keep his eyes open, so he decided to lay on the couch and let his body fall into a deep sleep. This is the best feeling, relaxing and not having any worry in the world. After being in his deep sleep for quite some time, he ended up rolling off the couch! He was so tired, that even when he fell off the couch, he did not wake up! What have they been doing in the daycare?
Do not worry folks, this adorable dog was totally fine, no harm was done! His owner was surprised when he fell off the couch because he expected to find his pooch wide awake, but he was still in his own world half asleep. So funny! Even his owner could not contain his laughter! What a funny video! Apollo hit the ground very hard, it is surprising he did not wake up, even when his owner went to go rub his back, he did not even budge. Poor dog, he must have been so exhausted!
